Life Cycle Team on the CSC ride

** Road teamThe Life Cycle Road Team - We are having a great year. This is the team’s first year and we are kicking some b*&t.
Gilad Gozlan and Geoff Huber coach the Life Cycle road team, which is a mixture of University of Oregon racers and other locals from Eugene. There is a wide variety of skill level on the team, ranging from weekend warrior to Cat. 1. Life Cycle competes in OBRA races as well as larger regional events such as the Sea Otter Classic. The team trains together and organizes rides with the use of the Life Cycle list-serve. Stop by the shop to sign up for the list-serve and talk to us about joining the team.

This is the team’s first year, and already it has seen impressive results. But the potential that this young team has is the truly impressive thing. Two of the team’s star riders, Tony Guisto and Kennett Peterson, will be heading to Europe this summer to race with the Israeli National team for two months. Following their return, three Israeli racers will be coming to race in the states for Life Cycle in 2009. With the combined forces of the Israeli team and US talent, Life Cycle plans on becoming a professional NRC team, coached by Gilad and managed by Adam Edgerton and Mike Brunelle. If you would like to be a sponsor for the team, contact Gilad at the shop.

When the Life Cycle pro team is underway in 2009, the amateur team will continue to be built up, serving as a foundation for the pro team. Expect some big changes next year as the amateur team further dominates the Oregon racing scene as the pro team takes its first few steps into the national spotlight.

There are two components it: the team, which pays dues and competes, and the club, which is great for the beginning triathlete. Like the road team, the triathlon team uses a list-serve to organize training times, racing, BBQs, etc. Come by the shop and sign up if you’ve ever thought about doing a triathlon.
