Meet the Crew

This is where you learn a little about us. We are very different and every one of us brings something different TO THE TABLE. One thing that we all have in comment is – we are bike geeks .

Gilad Gozlan-

Cold ass pics 007Hails from Israel, where he rode on the Israeli National road team. He spent his teen years as a slave to the bike, which lead to racing in Europe .But his nation’s call of duty cut him from the life of two wheels and saddle sores for three years while he fulfilled his time in the army. Gilad went over to the dark side of cycling after getting out of the army and became a professional down hill mountain biker. He met his wife, Erin, in the US and moved out west to Eugene when a friend told him about the California Gold Rush. Unfortunately for Gilad, his friend did not specify that the California Gold Rush ended over two centuries ago. And also that Eugene is not in California. Don’t tell Gilad this though, he’ll be devastated. Gilad rides a Pinerallo FP4, a Kona Kula 29er single speed, and a Santa Cruz Blur LT Carbon.

“Life is what happens when you make plans.”
“How do you win a race?” “You start as fast as you can and you slowly accelerate.”

Justin B.

Cold ass pics 005Is all about riding Mountain Bikes. Justin has been married to his  Kona Kula 29er for almost three years now- his honeymoon was at Eagles Rest. When he is not busy hanging out with his wife (the kula) he hangs out with his Mistress, we call her the Trans-Am (The Transition Trans-Am that is).

Zack Szmuc (sounds like SMoots)
Cold ass pics 008

When he isn’t listening to mid 90′s pop music hits he is busy ripping up single track with a fury no man has ever seen before.  He answers the the nickname “Z-Pain”, however he does not have access to Auto-Tune.  Zack may seem reserved when working on bikes and interacting with customers….he will tear your legs when ripping trail on his single speed mountain bike.  You will also see Zack at the occasional road race and he just started dabbling in the gravity world with his new Transition Trans-Am.

Customer tip:   Bring Zack a six pack of beer or reference Angry Music for the “extra special treatment”.

David Wells-

daveWould rather be on his bike. When he isn’t training on the road he attempts to “get dirty” on the local off-road trails. I’m not going to lie to you, this guy loves bikes. He is also the Life Cycle Bike Shop mascot and sometimes reminds us of a cute puppy dog. Nothing gets him excited like some Dura-Ace componentry. Nickname: “7800″

Geoff Huber

geoffsavage

Some people ride bikes fast and some ride bikes slow. And there are some that ride bikes soo fast that you think there is a motor installed in the seat tube. Geoff falls in the last category, except on his motor there must be a turbo installed- this guy rips! Geoff pronounced (G-off) loves playing the drums, tearing legs on his single speed mtb, and bro-ing down with the best of them.

Marcello Ojerio

marcello

Living mostly in New Zealand Marcello likes to call Eugene his summer home. Like all of us at the shop he loves riding single speed mtb’s! We have yet to find something this guy doesn’t know how to do at the shop, but we are currently under investigation to see if there is indeed something this guy doesn’t know. He along with Dave could watch the Seasons DVD over and over and still not get sick of it!
